As a confessional Lutheran congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, we worship according to the historic liturgy. This means we follow a time-honored pattern of worship that has been used in the Christian church for centuries, connecting us to the great cloud of witnesses throughout history.
Our services include readings from Scripture, hymns of faith, prayers, and the celebration of the Holy Sacraments. Whether you are familiar with liturgical worship or experiencing it for the first time, we believe you will find our services to be reverent, meaningful, and spiritually nourishing.
"In our worship we observe the historic liturgy in dignified reverence. In Jesus' name we welcome you to worship with us."
As a Lutheran congregation, we hold the sacraments in high regard as means of grace through which God gives us His forgiveness, life, and salvation. We practice two sacraments: Holy Baptism and Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper).
Baptism is the sacrament through which we are born again and become members of the Church. We baptize infants, children, and adults as a sign and seal of God's grace and our entry into His covenant. Through baptism, we are united with Christ in His death and resurrection and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
We celebrate the Holy Communion in every Sunday service as Jesus commanded. In this sacrament, we receive the true body and blood of Christ in, with, and under the bread and wine for the forgiveness of our sins and the strengthening of our faith. We believe in the real presence of Christ in the sacrament.
If you have questions about the sacraments or would like to learn more about Lutheran theology and practice, we encourage you to speak with Pastor Below or contact our office.
If you are visiting Redeemer for the first time, we want you to know that you are welcome here. Our ushers are happy to help you find your way, and our hymnals and service books contain everything you need to follow along.
Don't worry if you're not familiar with liturgical worship—many of our members were once visitors too! Feel free to simply observe and listen, or participate as you feel comfortable. If you have any questions before or after the service, please don't hesitate to ask.
We understand that attending in-person services may not be feasible for all members and visitors. As a result, we offer a live stream of our Sunday services to ensure that everyone can stay connected with our community.
Join us virtually and share in the uplifting experience of our worship services.
